The latest building to the Bosque campus is the “Upper Schoolhouse”. The Schoolhouse is the front door to the entrance of the campus and offers a pleasant entry and drop off area with an open plaza for students to gather. It’s the receiving area for all visitors, parents and school children. The Schoolhouse opened in 2009 and it’s a total of 16,500 square feet, consisting of administration offices for the headmaster as well as the upper school administrators. In addition, it has a unique 12,500 square feet of learning space that creates what is called the ‘Quad’, a central study and gathering area for students. It is home to the college guidance department, upper school humanities classes, a technology center, and the administration offices. This project has earned Reid & Associates the AIA 2009 Architectural Award of Merit.
