Easter Seals Santa Maria El Mirado

Easter Seals Santa Maria El Mirado

The Northern New Mexico Easter Seals Chapter in Santa Fe is a 21,000 SF, 2-story building which houses day care and home care training facilities for developmentally disabled individuals and their families.  It’s sited along the edge of an existing slope which takes advantage of the sweeping views and passive solar heating and cooling opportunities we celebrate in New Mexico. The building is designed to holistically support therapeutic goals through the use of natural light, natural and local materials, and colors indicative of the southwest. Sustainable design elements such as water saving features and energy savings...

Hewlett Packard

Hewlett Packard

The Hewlett Packard Service Center is located in the Rio Rancho City Centre and houses the company’s New Mexico operations.  The  facility is a 218,000 square foot, three story steel frame structure with EIFS exterior walls and metal panel accents. The streets surrounding the building are directly adjacent to the exterior walls with only a city sidewalk between the curb and the building....

The two biggest challenges were renovating a 70 year old historial building that was on the National Historical Register and its location on Santa Fe’s downtown historical Plaza.  The building’s structural problems had worsened,...
