CGT deal provides major boost to Titan Development’s New Braunfels industrial park

January 15, 2016 –When Titan Development closed on 100 acres of land adjacent to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s distribution center in New Braunfels last year, there was nothing except empty farm land and possibly a stray cow. But within 24 hours of Canada-based manufacturer Canadian General Tower sealing a deal for 27 acres in the park, that raw farm land began its transformation into a commercial hub. CGT — which announced plans to invest about $80 million in its new North American facility, creating 275 jobs — is the catalyst for Titan Development’s newest industrial park in New Braunfels along the strengthening I-35 corridor. As an additional boost, the manufacturer hired Titan’s sister company Reid & Associates as the general contractor for its new facility. Construction on the 240,000-square-foot building began Dec. 23, 2015 — one day after CGT closed on the 27-acre site.
