This two story office building is located in the heart of the Journal Center’s Business Park in Albuquerque, NM.  It is the new corporate headquarters for REDW the Rogoff Firm, one of the largest certified public accounting and business consulting firms in the southwest.  The design concept for the is meant to evoke traditional southwestern pueblo architecture with prominent battered walls and deeply recessed windows, and includes metal vigas, canales and canopies; yet has a contemporary fadade.

The building has many sustainable features and was awarded LEED Gold Certification.  It is sited with its long axis oriented east-west which allows for passive solar heat gain on the south side during winter months and less direct sun on the east and west sides of the building in the summer months.  The roof is an energy efficient low slope “cool roof” made of single ply steel with solar photovoltaic panels mounted on pedestals and a metal screen wall to conceal the mechanical equipment.

Reid & Associates utilized its Work Chase system to ensure work flow was constant and well coordinated.  The process begins by picking a starting point on the building based on strategic needs, then they stack trades from the same starting point and “chase” each other to completion.  All aspects of the project followed this system including the site work and the tenant’s interior construction.
