Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU), the largest financial institution by asset size headquartered in New Mexico, will be opening a new branch at Unser and Wellspring in Rio Rancho. The branch will serve both retail and commercial members of SLFCU with a full-service lobby, drive-up ATMs, and four drive-through teller lanes.
“Rio Rancho is a growing community,” said Robert Chavez, President and CEO of SLFCU. “We know we have a lot of members living in the area who have been asking for a branch near home for a long time.”
The groundbreaking for the new branch occurred Wednesday, February 26, 2014 and was attended by representatives from the credit union’s board, management, and staff, as well as the Reid & Associates design/build team and the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce.
